1st Semester Reflection
Part 1:
1. Quality of work: The work i do in this class overall has good composition and focus on the subject. As well as focusing on the correct task. I always fulfill the assignment completely, by doing everything it asks. However, i could improve on quality in some areas and try to go more above and beyond. My strengths were in having all my images, the proper format, and always having things in on time. But, I'll definitely try to go outside my boundaries and do more.
2. Effort: For my effort throughout the semester whenever i have an assignment i do try and get it done by actively taking photos when i can. I get the idea of what i want my final result/subject to be and then shoot what i think looks good. I always shoot more than required so i can make sure i have enough in case some don't come out how i wanted them to and to ensure i have a variety to choose my best from. I try not to avoid ideas that are a bit more complex because i want my work to look as good as possible. When a shot is hard to get i try to get it o the best of my ability without spending to much time on one thing. During second semester i could definitely take more risks and i always try to admire and appreciate both my work and the work of others.
3. Participation: I'm always on time to class and try to get as much done in the time i have. Sometimes however, i get distracted so i can work on staying focused throughout the period. I always work independently but, sometimes exchange ideas with my classmates to be more creative.
4. Improvement: As i work in this class i work on finding my style and I'm going to continue that throughout second semester. I can definitely improve on some things technically and I'm constantly working on doing that with each new assignment. As of right now my work is well put together but there is always room for improvement to make my work more creative and compelling.
5. Adjustment: During the new semester I'm going to use what i already know as well as the new things I'm learning to improve my work to the best of my ability. I'm going to try to be more creative and go above and beyond the assignment to get the best result possible. I'm going to stay focused and work hard.
Part 2:
For a future assignment, although we have already done shooting assignments before i would like to do more of them and possibly some to do with the outdoors or more color assignments.
